AfterOpp
AfterOpp is an initiative at Hale Middle School, led by Youth At Heart and Tulsa’s citywide intermediary, The Opportunity Project. Through this FREE program, junior high students enjoy fun, safe after-school programs — ranging from sports, arts and music, to hands-on science. Through hands-on activities students are given the opportunity to explore their passions and expand their interests. We seek to inspire all students to think outside the box, try new things and create lasting friendships with their peers and club leaders. Join us for AfterOpp!
Regular participation in after-school programs results in:
- Better attendance
- Higher math grades
- Improved mood and physical activity
- Increased school retention and graduation rates
- College and career readiness
