The Cooke Young Scholars Program is a selective five-year, pre-college scholarship for exceptionally promising 7th grade students with financial need that provides comprehensive academic and college advising, as well as financial support for school, Cooke-sponsored summer programs, internships, and much more.
The support includes:
- Personalized educational advising from 8th grade through high school
- Financial support for tuition, enrichment activities, technology, and supplies
- Summer programs at top universities
- College preparation and admission guidance
- Pathway to college funding: 96 percent of Young Scholars receive Cooke College Scholarships worth up to $40,000 a year.
Who Is Eligible?
Applicants must be currently in 7th grade, have earned grades of all or mostly As since the beginning of 6th grade with no Cs or below in core academic subjects, and demonstrate unmet financial need with applicants with a family adjusted gross income up to $95,000 eligible to apply. The Foundation selects scholars based on academic ability and achievement, leadership, and persistence.
