Hale Middle School students tour TCC's Southeast campus
A group of Hale Middle School students recently had the exciting opportunity to visit Tulsa Community College's Southeast Campus for a guided tour of the facility. The trip gave students an up-close look at what college life has to offer and a head start on thinking about their futures.

During the visit, students explored the campus grounds, peeked inside classrooms and labs, and learned about the wide variety of programs and resources TCC Southeast has available. Staff answered questions and shared what it takes to succeed at the college level.

The tour was designed not just to show students around, but to inspire them. TCC Southeast offers everything from career and technical programs to transfer pathways for students planning to pursue a four-year degree.

One of the biggest advantages of a community college like TCC is affordability. Students were encouraged to complete their Oklahoma’s Promise and the Tulsa Achieves Scholarship applications. Community college also offers flexibility and convenience. Because TCC Southeast is right here in Tulsa, students can live at home, work part-time, and still earn a degree or professional certification on their own schedule.

For some students, it was their first time setting foot on a college campus.

"It made college feel real," said one eighth grader. "Like something I can actually do."

Hale staff hope the experience planted a seed of possibility in every student who attended.
